The Economist interviews Elon Musk

I watched this probing and illuminating interview with Elon Musk by The Economist yesterday. He’s undeniably a smart guy, but seemingly not a wise one. His certainty in certain verifiably false views is bizarre for someone not lacking in intelligence.

There’s a real lack of self-awareness and self-reflection. He forms views and holds them in black-and-white, unexamined ways. In Richard Rohr’s language, he’s clearly someone who should have moved on into the second half of life by now, but is still living in the first.
