#StrengthsDay – Belief, Ideation, Strategic, Positivity, Developer

by Sam Radford on July 8, 2009

#StrengthsDay is back after a week off. This is where we take a different persons five StrengthsFinder talent themes and profile them. If you would like to be in a chance of being profiled in the future – or to find out more – then you can do that here.

This week we’re profiling Chris’s five themes of Belief, Ideation, Strategic, Positivity, and Developer:

  • Belief
    • People strong in the Belief Theme have certain core values that are unchanging. Out of these values emerges a defined purpose for their life.
  • Ideation
    • People strong in the Ideation Theme are fascinated by ideas. They are able to make new connections between seemingly disparate phenomena.
  • Strategic
    • People strong in the Strategic Theme create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues.
  • Positivity
    • People strong in the Positivity Theme have an enthusiasm that is contagious. They are upbeat and can get others excited about what they are going to do.
  • Developer
    • People strong in the Developer Theme recognize and cultivate the potential in others. They spot the signs of each small improvement and derive satisfaction from these improvements.

As always we’ll kick off with some questions that hopefully Chris will engage with during the day:

  1. Can you start by sharing a little about who you are and what you do?
  2. Which of your five talent themes do you feel is your strongest? Why?
  3. Which talent theme seems to fit you the best? Why?
  4. Are any of your talent themes misunderstood by the people around you, if so why do you think that is?
  5. Do you have any talent themes that you’re really not sure why it came up or were surprised by? Why?
  6. What other questions do you have?

This conversation isn’t just for Chris though. If you share any of the same themes as Chris – or know people who do – then do please share your thoughts and insights.

Let’s get to it!
