do you know the most difficult person I've found to stop saying "just" in front of is myself. Even yesterday, I was introducing myself to another parent asking me questions about their special needs child. I felt the need to put a disclaimer in front of the email that I was "just a parent" and that I was no expert. But, as I was re-reading it, I thought, yes I am just a parent...but I am Max's parent, and I am an expert on him. I re-worded it to not put myself down, but still cover myself to not have anything come back if she took my advice.

So, I would submit that before we can see others for the good they have, for the unique person they are, we need to do the same with ourselves.
