Introducing…Hermann Du Plessis

I mentioned on Tuesday that they’re are three new guest contributors who are going to be writing monthly columns for this Awaken site. I’m so pleased to have these really great people on board and am looking forward to learning from them myself and sharing what they write with you. Over the next few days I’ll be introducing them all.

Today I’d like to introduce Hermann Du Plessis, whose columns will be on the subject of leadership.

Hermann & Adel Du PlessisHermann and his wife, Adel, are the co-owners of Therapeia a coaching and consulting business – based in Johannesburg, South Africa – that is passionate about the human capital development of corporate companies and individuals through personal leadership development, emotional intelligence and Authentic Self Branding.

Hermann is a Business & Leadership Coach for various corporate companies. He completed a Bachelors Degree with majors in Industrial Psychology and Strategic Management in 1995 and a Higher Education Diploma in 1996 at the University of Johannesburg.

Hermann is a passionate Theologian and completed his 4 year Theology diploma in 2003 at the Auckland Park Theological Seminary, affiliated to the University of Johannesburg. Being Zulu fluent and having a passion for upliftment, Hermann has been involved in leadership development at the Zandspruit Informal Settlement for the past 12 years.

Hermann is completing his Masters in Adult Education with a specific focus on the coaching needs of the various generations in the workplace. He sits on the Board of Advisors for the International Mentoring Network. For the last 10 years Hermann has been training, coaching and presenting in all spheres of Leadership development. Hermann’s passion and calling is to help individuals and businesses unleash their full potential.
